Brow Lamination

Brow lamination is a chemical treatment that is applied to the natural brow hairs. The goal is to lift and lay the hairs to create a fluffier and defined look using just the natural brow. This service semi-permanently alters the natural hair growth pattern and texture. The results typically last 6 to 8 weeks depending on aftercare and hair type. Brow lamination is most ideal for those with naturally fuller eyebrows.

Who is a candidate?

Brow lamination can help clients that are looking to relax their textured eyebrow hairs. It can also help with unruly brows that have an unpredictable hair growth pattern. Those with naturally full eyebrows is best suited for this service. This service can work for any skin type however those with oilier skin may not have lasting results.

Who is not a candidate?

If any of the following contraindications are applicable to you, you are not eligible for brow laminations.

  • Sensitive skin

  • Psoriasis/eczema

  • Alopecia

  • Cuts/severe acne around the focused area

  • Sunburnt/inflamed skin around the focused area

  • Hair growth serum must stop use 3 weeks before appointment

  • Recent chemical peel/microdermabrasion

  • Pregnant/nursing

  • Cancer

  • Eye infections/folliculitis

  • Blood thinning meds/antibiotics

  • Recent microblading/cosmetic tattoo around focused area

  • Retinol/vitamin A must stop use at least 2 weeks before appointment

  • Recent laser/IPL


Precare/ Aftercare

Please follow Precare instructions to ensure the best results.

  • Must be at least 6-8 weeks since previous brow lamination.

  • Avoid exfoliating and using anti-aging products such as retinol at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid using sunless tanning products.

  • Have inspiration pictures ready if you have an idea of the brow look you’d like to achieve.

Aftercare

For the best and long lasting results it is important to follow Aftercare instructions.

  • Keep your brows dry for the next 24 hours. This includes swimming, steam or saunas.

  • Sweat can also affect the longevity of your results. Try to make sure sweat doesn’t sit or drip onto brows.

  • Avoid exfoliating and using anti-aging products such as retinol 1 week post appointment.

  • Avoid excessing touching or rubbing the brows for the first 24 hours.

  • Brushing the brows after the first 24 hours is encouraged to keep the hairs in the position they have been laminated.

  • Conditioning the brows are recommended to help keep the brows healthy. Apply brow conditioner from aftercare kit daily after 3 weeks post appointment.
