Brow Stain

Brow stain is a semi-permanent dye that is applied to the brows and is left to process according to the desired intensity. The results can stain the skin for up to 2 weeks and the brow hairs for up to 6 weeks depending on aftercare and skin type. This service would be beneficial to those who like a more bold, makeup-like look to the brows.

Who is a candidate?

Brow Staining provides a more bold and pigmented look to the brows by staining the skin and brow hairs. With a Brow stain, you’ll save time filling in the brows everyday. This service can work for any skin type however those with oilier skin may not have lasting results.

Who is not a candidate?

If any of the following contraindications are applicable to you, you are not eligible for a brow stain.

  • Pregnant/nursing

  • Sunburnt/inflamed skin within brow area

  • Acutane/Steroids

  • Recent laser, chemical peels, IPL

  • Previous reactions to henna/para-phenylenediamine

  • Cuts/abrasions within the brow area

  • Psoriasis/eczema

  • Eye infections/folliculitis

  • Recent eye surgery

  • Recent microblading/cosmetic tattoo around focused area

  • Avoid exfoliating and using anti-aging products such as retinol at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid sunless tanning products and sunbeds.

  • Must be at least 4-6 weeks since previous brow stain/tint.

  • Have inspiration pictures ready if you have an idea of the brow look you’d like to achieve.

  • Please come to your appointment with makeup applied if you like. This way I will have a better idea of your desired brow look.

Aftercare

For the best and long lasting results it is important to follow Aftercare instructions.

  • Keep your brows dry for the next 24 hours. This includes no swimming, steam, or saunas. If you must wash your face use a gentle, oil-free cleanser and be cautious of the brow area.

  • Sweat can also affect the longevity of your results. Try to make sure sweat doesn’t sit or drip onto brows.

  • Avoid exfoliating and using ant-aging products such as retinol 1 week post appointment.

  • Overexposure to the sun can cause the stain to lift faster.

  • Avoid excessive touching or rubbing the brows.
